Do you have to pay to join?-- If you have to pay to join an affiliate marketing program, that does not mean the program is a scam. It simply means you should be absolutely sure what you get for that money before you hand it over.
Ask questions. Find out what happens if you need more help when it comes to implementing the program. Do you get help? What happens if you decide the program is not for you. Do you get a refund?
How much help is given to you?-- Once you sign up for a particular affiliate marketing program, is there any help given to you or are you on your own? If there is help is it in form of manuals, or are there people you can actually talk to?
What percentage of the profit do you get?-- While some of the best affiliate marketing programs can be big business, and mean big money for the person selling them, how much of the actual profit do you get if someone buys one of the things you are selling?
Do you get a substantial percentage, or is it just a miniscule amount?
Be sure the amount of money you get per sale is worth all the time you put in, or you may find you are selling goods for someone else but not reaping the rewards.
